I am so excited to be opening up my studio again this year for the splendid Peterborough Artists Open Studios.
All over our city artists, both amateur and professional, are inviting the public into their studios and homes and it's something wonderful to be part of.
This must be my 11th year and I have loads of new paintings,
as well as prints
, to share with you.
My studio is the home of Wallace Frames.
The mosaic artist Shelagh Hope is with me again this year and we're looking forward to welcoming you all for a relaxing visit where you can see what we have created this year, have a peek at my working studio and the framing workshop as well as enjoy a cup of tea in the garden.
New Oil Paintings:
I've been inspired to add to my never ending series of paintings of the seaside of family days out and glimpses of the coast throughout the seasons.
I can't get away from the energy of Grace the border collie, and sometimes other dogs creep into my paintings too.
As well as larger paintings I've added many small studies for those who like to collect small original art.
When the weather was bad and my studio too cold for this soft artist to work in I thought it a good idea to paint a few watercolours in the warmth of the back bedroom!
Of course the subjects weren't a million miles away from the sea, so I've framed up a few for you to see.
I sell prints of my paintings through my Etsy shop and they have proved to be very popular so I thought you would like to see some in the flesh!
Greeting cards you won't find anywhere else. 3 for £5.00.
Shelagh Hope. Mosaic Artist:
is relatively new to the open studio experience, but we had such a good time last year she decided to repeat and join me again!
Thank you Shelagh.
Both of us look forward to seeing you all for our OPEN STUDIO weekends.
